HARLEQUIN BIG 5 TOURNAMENT

RULES & SCORING
RULES
- The tournament will be played at Harlequin Bowls Club, and CBCOB. (One section per club.)
- The first round will be a random draw, thereafter it will be strength vs strength in the two sections, with the sections staying at their respective venues for the first day.
- There will be a split between the top 6 and bottom 6 teams after the first day for each venue, for the cup and plate. On the second day, the top 6 teams from each venue will be playing in the Cup event at Quins, and the bottom 6 teams from each venue will be playing in the Plate event at CBCOB.
- Only 1 player of the pairs game in round 1 may play in the pairs game in round 3. (It can also be 2 new players.)
- Dead jack (i.e. burnt ends): to be respotted on the 2m mark, or as close as possible to this mark on the 2m line, without touching a bowl.
- One trial end per game will be allowed.
- No alcohol consumption will be allowed within 2m of the greens.
- Singles: 3 sets of 7 ends (4 bowls)
- Pairs: 3 sets of 6 ends (3 bowls)
- Trips: 3 sets of 6 ends (2 bowls)
- Fours: 3 sets of 5 ends (2 bowls)
SCORING
In all formats:
- 1 point per end
- 2 points per set (based on shot aggregate)
- 4 points for winning the game
- The overall winners will receive 2 bonus points. (Overall winners are determined by cumulative shot aggregate.)
- In the event of a tie, points will be split.
